Information about the Calendar Checking Tool for Outlook (CalCheck)

A very odd issue we are having with our Calendars we are using Office with a O subscription. Some users reported that they are not able to open any of the shared calendars they have anymore.

The odd thing is no error messages come up and when you click on any of the Shared Calendar nothing happenes. I managed to fix this by recreating the Outlook Profile but the issue reoccured after one day. Anyone had an similar issue? Are you using Exchange Online in your organization? If the shared calendar belongs to a shared mailbox, you can try open that shared mailbox in the OWA, removing the permission of that user in calendar and then add it back.

You can also try changing another permisson. Let the user check in OWA, will the shared calendar work fine in this case? It’s better to share some screenshots about this issue. If you are not using Exchange Online or have local Exchange deployment, please let me know the details about your environment. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. Please take your time and share any updates at your convenience.

Looking forward. We are using Exchange Online and all the Shared Calendars belong to user mailboxes. There were no issues until last week and for some reason it affects more and more users each day.

I have noticed that if I change Outlook to work in Online Mode the issue is not occuring. Since the online mode works fine, the permission is right.

You are using Exchange Online purely, and I have checked that there’s no server issue in the Exchange Online which is related to this issue. Did you make some changes during the last week? Please let me know which version of Outlook are you using now? Could you please also capture a screenshot when opening a shared calendar? Maybe the Outlook client hangs when opening the shared calendar. Please find a test machine, open Outlook in safe mode to see if it works or not.

We have released multiple versions of Outlook since the If you are under the current channel, could you please try updating the Outlook client to the latest version Build Choose bit application. Please feel free to reach out to me if you get any update. All the affected users had the “Download shared folders” ticked. I have tried deleting and re-adding the Calendars and same issue. Currently I’ve set all of them in Online Mode but the performance is quite bad as most of them have big mailboxes and access to a few others.
